Summary of Function:

  • The Production Supervisor supports and demonstrates the Company’s core values while supervising the designated shift production operations. You will be responsible for leading, directing, motivating and coaching employees for the benefit of the company. Create strong two-way communication throughout the organization.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily production activities with regards to production performance and quality targets.
  • Ensure leaders and employees follow the designated production schedules, assist in work prioritization where necessary
  • Schedule Standard Hours & Overtime
  • Maintains Company safety and cleanliness standards
  • Setup production work areas for next shift’s production needs
  • Perform annual performance evaluations.
  • Provide feedback to employees related to non-conformances and efficiency data
  • Enforce plant floor rules and company policies and administer disciplinary action as necessary
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve systems and reduce the cost of manufacturing
  • Assist with training of new and temporary operators
  • Identify, develop, and implement strategies to attain production targets with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Lead daily production meetings to communicate production goals and provide feedback on overall team performance
  • Maintain 5S audits
  • Maintain Layered process audits
  • Additional responsibilities, as determined by Production Manager

 

Organizational Relationships:

  • This position will directly report to the Production Manager.

 

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and two (3) years of job-related experience. An Associate’s degree may be substituted for up to 50 percent of this requirement.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds minimum on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work a standard 40-hour workweek with overtime included weekends as required

 

Training:

  • All training courses as identified on the Training Matrix must be complete 90 days after hire.
  • Any other training identified by the Production Manager.

 

Level of Responsibility:

  • All responsibilities outlined in the Range of Responsibilities and any other assigned Responsibility identified by the Production Manager.
